You know, it’s one thing to write only good things about a product, but if you’re being honest, you’ve also got to write any negatives that you find. So far, the only problem I have had with my Amazon Kindle was actually pretty simple to solve.
My Kindle Won’t Wake Up!
The other night, I wanted to read for a bit before I went to sleep, and so I slid the little button on my Kindle to the right to “wake” it up…and nothing happened. Now, I knew that it was fully charged because I had just charged it the day before, and a charge lasts a couple of weeks with the wireless on and about a month if you turn off the wireless connection. Needless to say, I flipped that little switch a number of times, pushed literally every button on the face of it…and still nothing happened. Being the OCD individual that I am, I retrieved the little quick start guide that came with my Kindle and started looking for an answer to why my Kindle won’t wake up. No such luck.
So I Googled My Kindle Won’t Wake Up!
So, I did what most people do these days…I googled my Kindle won’t wake up! A second later, I had my answer – reset the Kindle! Simply hold the little slider to the right for 15 seconds and boom, the Kindle reboots, and all is right with your world.
If your Kindle won’t wake up, and you have to reset your Kindle, the only thing that you might “lose” is your place in whatever you were last reading. Other than that, it’s a breeze.
My Recommendation for Kindle Won’t Wake Up!
The only recommendation that I have might be that Amazon should consider adding, Kindle won’t wake up, and this tip to the Quick Start pamphlet. It’s much easier to read this while you’re soaking up the details when you open your Kindle the first time than to panic if for some reason your Kindle won’t wake up a few weeks or months later.
