Pandigital, in partnership with Barnes & Noble, has announced a new $199 color eReader, designed to compete with the iPad and the Kindle.
The eReader runs the Android operating system, and features:
- Unit is 7″, and full color touchscreen
- WI-FI connectivity
- 800 x 600 screen resolution
- 1/2″ thick, weighs 16 oz.
- 1GB internal memory, with an SD/MMC card slot
- 6 hour battery life
- Operates in either landscape or portrait mode
- Supports a wide range of ebook formats and multimedia features
The new eReader will be available in June!
